What is the European Researchers’ Night? The European Researchers’ Night is an annual public event that celebrates science and researchers across Europe. Organized under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions, it is coordinated by Frascati Scienza in Italy, focusing on sustainability and the European Green Deal under the theme “heaL thE plAnet’s Future” (LEAF) (Frascati Scienza) (CORDIS).
Themes of 2023 The 2023 edition explored themes such as biodiversity, energy efficiency, sustainable mobility, and circular economy through hands-on activities, open labs, conferences, and exhibitions in various Italian cities (Frascati Scienza) (Bioeconomy in Transition).
[OMNIUM]XR’s Role at LEAF 2023 [OMNIUM]XR created an interactive station to explore Extended Reality (XR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Virtual Reality (VR) technologies and their impact on work. During training sessions, field experts guided participants in 3D modeling and VR headset use, enabling them to create three-dimensional works in a Mixed Reality environment. Spectators could follow the activities on a screen. The event aimed to provide an educational experience on the potential of XR, AR, and VR in the professional context.
